Our Products

Q. I am having trouble using my carrier!

A. We get it. Baby carriers can be a little confusing at first! We have a “How to?” Instruction page for each of our products that is full of instructional photos, videos and heavy with links to even more educational content! Still feeling iffy? Feel free to send a photo of yourself wearing the carrier or wrap to hi@boba.com, and we’d be happy to take a look and give you some pointers!

We also offer free fit consults with our in-house certified babywearing consultants!

Q. Can my baby face forward in your products?

A. We do not recommend carrying your child facing forward in our Boba or any babywearing device for any amount of time. This position causes undue pressure on your child’s pelvis and spine and what’s more, if your little adventurer is being worn facing out with unsupported legs, it can create unnatural and uncomfortable arching of the back. Carrying your baby facing you is the most ergonomic and comfortable position for both baby and wearer.

All of our buckle carriers, however, do enable comfortable back wearing whenever you and your baby are ready!

Q. I'm petite/very tall/plus size, will the wrap/carrier fit me?

A. We have customers of all shapes and sizes who wear our carriers comfortably, and we’re proud to say our carriers are one-size fits all! Just in case you feel like you’d need that, we offer waist extenders as well!

Q. What is the difference between the Boba X and 4Gs?

A. Here is a super helpful chart and a guide to choosing your carrier, but our quick fire answer would be that the main difference is that the Boba X is going to be much more adjustable - the body of the carrier as well as the seat adjust as your babe grows. It does not need an infant insert to be suitable from birth and it comes with added detachable seat extenders for toddlers. It also features the PFAs (perfect fit adjusters) that are amazing for petite parents!

The 4Gs is going to be a more simplified carrier that comes with an infant insert and is great if you are looking for something that doesn't need much adjusting.

Q. How long are the wraps?

A. 5.5 yards or about 5 meters, so they are truly one-size fits all!

Q. Is the Boba Air waterproof/good for hot weather?

A. The Air is made of ultra-light nylon that is a quick-dry material, so it’s a great carrier for the beach, just make sure it’s completely dry before storing it in its pouch! As far as hot weather, while the carrier is very lightweight and perfect for on the go, it's not very breathable due to the nature of the fabric.

Q. Do you sell twin carriers?

A. No, all Boba wraps and carriers are designed with the intention to carry one baby at a time only, however, once they're big enough to tandem carry you can wear one in the front in either a wrap or carrier and the other in a buckle carrier in the back.

Q. From what age can baby have their legs out in the 4G/4GS carrier?

A. The Boba 4GS is meant to be used with the included infant insert until your baby can comfortably fit with legs out and be supported from knee pit to knee pit. This may mean different age/size for every baby, so checking the fit of the carrier regularly is the way to go!
