International Babywearing Week Is Fast Approaching

International Babywearing Week Is Fast Approaching
It's about that time again for International Babywearing Week! This year's event theme is "A World of Possibilities" and happens October 10 - 16, 2011.

The week is a great way for families to come together and celebrate how using baby wraps and cloth carriers to keep our little ones close opens a whole world of possibilities for mobility, shared experience and a special bond, all while living life to the fullest!

Babywearing International (BWI), the organizer of the seven day event, offers a variety of ideas for activities and connecting with local natural parenting and babywearing groups, and official Babywearing International Chapters. If you have a non-profit group that is getting involved, there's a helpful International Babywearing Week Yahoo Group run by BWI and TheBabywearer.com that may be helpful to your planning.

Last year, International Babywearing Week (IBW) was celebrated around the world from San Antonio to Malaysia, Ames, Iowa to Lithuania, and more! Family events included various walks, hikes, picnics, classes, donation drives, television appearances, babywearing salsa, belly dancing and other classes, and more! *See more IBW pics and stories*.

So, call up some friends, strap on your Boba and hit the streets! *Babywearing flash mob* anyone? Sleepy Wrap Salsa classes (wow!)? Let us know what you're up to and we'll feature your IBW activities and pics here!
